Restoring factory defaults
Before performing the verification procedures, restore the instrument to its factory front pan-
el (bench) defaults as follows:

Press the MENU key. The instrument will display the following prompt:

SAVESETUP COMMUNICATION CAL

Select SAVESETUP, then press ENTER. The unit then displays:
SAVESETUP MENU
GLOBAL SOURCE-MEMORY
3.
Select GLOBAL, then press ENTER. The unit then displays:
GLOBAL SETUP MENU
SAVE RESTORE POWERON RESET
4.
Select RESET, then press ENTER. The unit displays:
RESET ORIGINAL DFLTS
BENCH GPIB
5.
Select BENCH, then press ENTER to restore bench defaults.

If the Model 2430 is not within specifications and not under warranty, see the calibration pro-
cedures in Section 2 for information on calibrating the unit.
Test considerations
When performing the verification procedures:
•
Be sure to restore factory front panel defaults as previously outlined.
•
Make sure that the test equipment is properly warmed up and connected to the Model
2430 INPUT/OUTPUT jacks. Also be sure that the front panel jacks are selected with
the TERMINALS key.
