● If other devices are supplied from this switched­mode power supply, the
power figure must be correspondingly higher.
Caution
The connection GND of terminal X01C (24 V DC) on the supply module is at
earth potential (PELV). The connector assignmend must be checked (e.g.
because of connecting control cable shields other appliances could be dam­
aged).
11.3 Version with integrated braking resistor

11.3.1 Purpose of the function
In regenerative operation, e.g. when braking the drive, the motor feeds en­
ergy back to the axis module. This increases the voltage in the DC link. If the
voltage exceeds a threshold value, the internal braking transistor in the sup­
ply module is activated and the regenerated power is converted into heat by
means of a braking resistor.
The design variant described here is a low­cost option for braking drives with
low masses without additional effort
The integrated braking resistor also has the major advantage that no addi­
tional space for an external braking resistor is required.
However, the braking power is limited for thermal reasons. You will find the
technical data for size 1 in chapter
