CAP settings (main menu)
You can make further CAP settings from the main menu under "Settings", "Antenna & Sat-
ellite", "Tuner Configuration", "Tuner 1" (CAP), "CAP settings" (illustration below).
Important
Important basic settings for the CAP can be made in the "CAP settings" menu. These settings
should be performed by a specialist to match your particular needs and the conditions; if they are
set incorrectly the CAP could be damaged.
15.4.1
Elevation offset
You should not change the setting for the elevation offset unless there has been some mechanic alteration
to the elevation which requires manual correction.
Make the settings using the

15.4.2
Search speed
In the fringe areas of the satellite footprints it may happen that a better search result is obtained by using a
lower CAP search speed. If you do not get satisfactory search results at the "Regular" speed, you can reduce
the search speed to "Slow".
However, if the signal strength and quality are good you can set the search speed to “Fast”. Normally we rec

ommend the search speed is set to “Regular”.

15.4.3
Start search from park position
On
The polar antenna folds out in all cases
without any further prompting
from the park position and
starts the search for a satellite.
Off
The user first has to confirm a prompt

before the polar antenna folds out and starts the search for
a satellite. This prevents the polar antenna from folding out at an unwanted time after the receiver is
switched on, such as when in a garage.
Off
is the default value.

Restore factory settings
Restores all the settings in the "CAP settings" menu to the factory default settings.
