Le dispositif de maintien au travail 27956 est un composant des équipements de protection contre la
chute de hauteur conforme à la norme EN 358 : Équipement de protection individuelle de maintien au
travail et de prévention des chutes de hauteur. Ceintures de maintien au travail et de retenue et longes
de maintien au travail. Le dispositif est utilisé pour prévenir la chute libre de l’utilisateur en connectant
le dispositif soutenant le corps à un point d’ancrage ou une structure en l’entourant et en supportant
l’utilisateur. Le dispositif est conçu pour la protection d’une seule personne pesant au maximum 140
kg. Le dispositif de maintien au travail 27956 ne doit pas être utilisé en tant que dispositif antichute.
S’il existe un risque de chute, utilisez toujours un dispositif de protection contre la chute de hauteur
conforme à la norme EN 363. Le dispositif de maintien au travail 27956 ne peut être utilisé qu’avec
des connecteurs conformes à la norme EN 362.
DURÉE DE VIE MAXIMALE DU DISPOSITIF: La durée de vie maximale du dispositif est de 10 ans à
compter de la date de fabrication.
CONTRÔLES PÉRIODIQUES
Le dispositif doit être contrôlé au moins une fois tous les 12 mois à compter de sa première utilisation.
Les contrôles périodiques doivent être effectués par des personnes compétentes possédant le savoir
nécessaire et ayant été formées en matière de contrôles périodiques d’équipements de protection. En
fonction du type et de l’environnement de travail, il peut être nécessaire de procéder à des contrôles
plus fréquemment qu’une fois tous les 12 mois. Chacun des contrôles périodiques doit être enregistré
sur la Carte d’identité de l’équipement.
ATTENTION :
La durée de vie maximale effective du dispositif dépend de l’intensité de son utilisation
et de l’environnement dans lequel il est utilisé. L’utilisation de l’équipement dans un environnement
difficile, marine, en contact avec des arêtes vives, l’exposition à des températures extrêmes ou à des
substances agressives, etc. peut conduire à la mise hors d’usage dès après la première utilisation.

Le dispositif doit être mis immédiatement hors d’usage et détruit si le résultat du contrôle périodique
se solde par un résultat négatif ou s’il existe un quelconque doute quant à sa fiabilité.
