1. Press the [MENU] button.
• The [MENU]

[PASSCODE SET] screens will be
displayed in this sequence in accordance with the
[MENU Screen Operations] explained on page 17.
2. To enter or amend the passcode, select [PASSCODE]
with the [
S
/
T
] keys, and then press [SET].
• The pass code entry screen will be displayed.
* The passcode confirmation screen will be displayed when
a passcode has been entered.
Settings
NONE: Press the [SET] button to enable passcode entry.
DONE: Press the [SET] button to enable passcode amendment.
3. Enter the pass code with the use of the ten-key pad,
and then press [SET].
Enter the passcode twice.
• The pass code will be set or amended.
* Enter the four characters of the passcode.
4. Select [MIS-INPUT OF PASSCODE] with the [
S
/
T
]
keys, and then amend the value of the setting with
[–/+].
Settings
OFF: A warning will not be issued even when mis-input
occurs.
ONCE, TWICE, THRICE:
A warning is issued after mis-input occurs
(consecutively) for the number of times set.
5. To enter or amend the sub-passcode, select
[SUBCODE] with the [
S
/
T
] keys, and then press [SET].
• The sub-passcode entry screen will be displayed.
* The sub-passcode cannot be set unless the passcode
has been set up.
Settings
NONE: Press the [SET] button to enable passcode entry.
DONE: Press the [SET] button to enable passcode amendment.
6. Enter a four-character sub-passcode with the ten-key
pad, and then press [SET].
• The sub-passcode will be set/amended.
7. Press the [SET] button.
• The confirmation screen will be displayed.
8. Select [SAVE] with the [
W
/
X
] keys, and then press
[SET].
