FX-3R Maintenance Guide
2-1
DANGER
To prevent any trouble caused by accidental machine start, always
shut-down the power before starting the maintenance and
adjustment work.
The XY-axis uses a very strong magnet.
•
Do not put any metallic object close to the magnet surface. Once the
magnet attracts a metallic object, this object cannot be removed due to
strong magnetic force.
•
Before starting the maintenance work, take off precision portable devices,
such as a wrist watch from your body.
•
Do not allow personnel who uses a precision medical device, such as an
artificial cardiac pacemaker, etc to carry out the maintenance work.
[2] HEAD
UNIT
2-1. Replacing and Adjusting the Head
∗
This section describes an example that uses the head of the LF-device. This description also
applies to other heads.
∗
Tie-up bands need to be cut during the maintenance work. However, this work step is not
described in this section.
Start the replacement work after the main pressure of the main unit has been shut down.
1) Detach the head core base assembled into the head main stay.
2) Detach the head main stay/stay stands L
・
R.
3) Detach the head cable guide.
4) Detach the head fan.
5) Disconnect the connectors (Z
・
θ
motor connectors and optical fibers, etc.) from three
ZT-driver boards.
6) Detach the ZT-driver support.
7) Disconnect the Z-motor driver cables and air tubes from the Z-power connector base.
8) Detach the Z-power connector base.
9) Detach the LNC60 encoder and disconnect the 1394 cable.
10) Disconnect the
φ
4-air tube from the union Y for the head up cylinder.
11) Detach the air cylinder. (See section 2-4.)
12) Detach the head cover.
13) Disconnect the air tube and detach the solenoid valve together with the SV support A.
14) Remove the assembly screws while holding the head by hand so that it does not fall
down. Pull out two parallel pins and raise the head unit to detach it. At this time, pay
special attention so that the head is not in contact with other parts.
∗
Take great care since adjustment shims may be put between the XM base and head
bracket.
15) Reassemble the components in the reverse order of disassembly.
16) Put shims to make the adjustment so that the distance between the jig nozzles put in
parallel is within 0.03 mm of head offset in the Y-direction. (The target value is 0.02 mm.)
