CAUTION: You MUST WORK AT A STATIC
PROTECTED WORKSTATION, BE
GROUNDED AT ALL TIMES, AND
CONFORM TO ELECTROSTATIC
CONTROL PROCEDURES. A WRIST
STRAP CONNECTED TO THE FRAME
OF THE MACHINE IS NOT GROUNDED
UNLESS THE MACHINE IS PLUGGED
INTO AN EARTH GROUND.
1. Verify that the main circuit breakers are OFF.
2. Plug the machine to a grounded receptacle.
3. If you are setting up the system to operate in a language other than
English, remove the microprocessor PWA, remove the EPROM and
replace it with the appropriate language EPROM. Note the check
sum listed on the EPROM. Place the removed EPROM in a static
safe area.
CAUTION! Pay particular attention to the
orientation of the EPROM during
insertion into its IC socket. Additionally,
exercise care to ensure that the EPROM
pins are not bent, broken, or otherwise
damaged during insertion.
4. Remove the "Remove Before Use" battery insulator between the
battery and contact of the microprocessor PWA and affix it to the
DHR.
5. Carefully attach the microprocessor PWA inside the to control
enclosure.
6. Ensure that all PWAs are firmly seated in the card cage. Make sure
the safety switch cannot be activated.
