WITH A STANDARD TAPE SELECTOR (JRT-TAPE2-HYD):
6.2.1. Installation of the standard tape
The setup of a tape selector replaces the PM switches and the vanes in the hoistway
and also the cam and the reed switches on the car.
The steel tape is installed in the hoistway and is composed of two rows of magnets.
The sensing head is located on the car and has two rows of sensors that are sensible to
"North" or "South" magnets. Four sensors (North) detect the center row of magnets:
LU sensor for up levelling, LD sensor for down levelling and DZO-DZO1 sensors for
door zoning. Three detectors P1, P2, P3 form the barcode to confirm the actual floor
where the elevator is stopped. DSL and USL sensors (south) may be used to limit the
movement in the hoistway access mode.
Only "LU" and "LD" sensors of the magnetic head are movable, so they can be
adjusted as required. For example, in order to achieve the best possible levelling
adjustment, it is better and easier to move the LU and LD sensors than to cut off the
magnet on the steel tape.
6.2.2. Mounting bracket and tape installation:
Install the top mounting bracket and fix the tape firmly on the bracket (see Fig. 1).
FIG. 1
Note: Leave enough space between the bracket and the car's top to avoid damaging
it in the event that the cabin would exceed the top landing.
Place the roll of tape on the roof of the cabin, in a safe area. Move the car to the lower
level while carefully unrolling the tape.
Install the mounting bracket and secure the ribbon down firmly on the bracket (see
Fig. 2).
