Contact lenses on the sunbed?
The answer is: Yes! Like any other tanning unit user, contact lens wearers
should also wear special protective goggles which protect the eyes against
UV radiation. To guarantee better protection, wearers of spectacles and con-
tact lenses can ask their optician for exchange contact lenses with UV protec-
tion. The UV-A and UV-B filters built into exchange contact lenses will protect
the cornea and the internal parts of the eye against almost 100 % of the ener-
gy in UV radiation.
This will benefit tanning unit users not only in the open air, but on the tanning
unit itself. You can wear these contact lenses on the tanning unit without any
