Horn
The horn button is at the end of the forward/reverse lever.
Push the button to operate the horn. It functions only with
the starter switch set to on.
Gear Lever
To select a gear, move the lever as shown on the shift
pattern. When the machine is stationary, make sure the
forward/reverse selector is at neutral
(N) and the engine at
idle before selecting a gear. The machine can be moved off
in any gear depending on ground conditions.
To change gear on the move:
1 Press the transmission dump switch 7 .
2 Select the new gear.
3 Release the transmission dump switch.
4 Use the accelerator 5 to produce a smooth gear
change.
Transmission Dump (Disconnect) Switch
Push this switch to disconnect the drive while changing
gear on the move. Note that it is not a clutch. It cannot be
'slipped'. Do not use it for 'inching' the machine.
To inch the machine, keep it in a low gear, with your foot off
the accelerator pedal, and use the foot brake to control the
motion.
