If badly worn or damaged, remove the bushes

the idler wheel

using a press or puller.
Protect parts from moisture and dust if left dismantled
for some time.
Assembly
1
Clean all parts thoroughly in a suitable solvent. Dry
shaft and bore of idler wheel using compressed air in a
place free of dust and moisture.
Check components for wear. Polish out scratches and
roughness using an oil stone. Then apply a coat of
engine oil to all parts.
