Load Check Section
Dismantling the Load Check Section
1
Remove the plug (31) of the arm 1 load check valve.
Remove the O-ring (30) from the plug.

Remove the spring (29) and the poppet (28).

Remove the sleeve (38), the spring (27) and the poppet
(26). Care must be taken not to drop the spring into the
port, If dropped it will jam the sliding section of the main
spool.

On the arm 2 section, remove the plug (31), the O-ring
(30), the spring (29), the poppet (28) and the sleeve.

Remove the plugs (37) on the boom 1, boom 2, service,
bucket, swing and three common check sections.
Remove the O-ring (32) from the plug.

Remove the spring (36) and the poppet (35).
7
Loosen the plug assembly (47) for travel right and
remove the O-ring.
8
Remove the plug (31) and the O-ring (30) for the travel
left on the arm 1 section.
9
Remove the sleeve (24), the spring (27) and the poppet
(26).
Cleaning / Inspection
1
Clean the dismantled parts with a coating of clean oil.
2
Dry with compressed air. Place each part on a clean
sheet of paper or vinyl for inspection.
3
Check the load check seat on the valve housing for any
dents, scratches, contamination or signs of rust.
Remove small scratches using an oil stone.

Verify that all sliding parts move easily.
5
Replace the springs if they are damaged, deformed or
worn.
6
Replace all used O-rings and back-up rings with new
before assembly.
7
Check that there is no foreign matter in any passages or
grooves.
Assembling the Load Check Valve
1
Assemble the spring (27) and the poppet (26) on the
surface of arm 1 sleeve (38), insert the poppet (28) and
the spring (29) into the sleeve and insert into the valve
housing.

Insert the plug (31) and O-ring (30).
Torque tighten to 78 - 88 Nm (57.5 - 65 lbf ft).

Assemble the poppet (28) and the spring (29) in the arm
2 sleeve (25) and insert into the valve housing.
4
Insert the plug (31) and O-ring (30).
Torque tighten to 78 - 88 Nm (57.5 - 65 lbf ft).

Insert the poppets (35) and the springs (36) in the
boom1, 2, the reserve, the bucket, swing, and the three
common check sections.
6
Insert the plug (37) and O-ring (32).
Torque tighten to 88 - 98 Nm (65 - 72.2 lbf ft).
7
Insert the plug (47) and O-ring on the right travel section.
Torque tighten to 108 - 144 Nm (79.6 - 106.2 lbf ft).
8
Assemble the spring (27) and the poppet (26) on the
surface of sleeve (24) of the travel left section and insert
into the valve housing.
9
Insert the plug (31) and O-ring (30).
Torque tighten to 78 - 88 Nm (57.5 - 65 lbf ft).
