Boom Ram - Removal (cont’d)

Remove the nuts and bolt securing the body pivot pin.

Knock out the pivot pin with a bar and hammer.

Metal Splinters

You can be injured by flying metal splinters when driving
metal pins in or out. Use a soft faced hammer or drift to
remove and fit metal pins. Always wear safety glasses.

Lift the boom ram away from the body.

Boom Ram - Replacement

Use a suitable hoist and sling (the ram weighs 84 kg
(185 lb)), to position the ram over the body pivot pin.
