When battery does not hold the charge or has got a failure.
If switched ON, TT801 contains hazardous voltages: The transmitter section is capable of
generating several thousands volts which can be dangerous if touched. TT801
incorporates capacitors, which are capable of storing large quantities of electrical energy.
Avoid inadvertent discharge during dismantling the internal chassis. Once TT801 is
switched OFF, storage capacitors are automatically discharged.
Make sure you have the following items:
•
A flat blade screwdriver (6.5 X 150 mm)
•
A 7mm tube spanner
•
10 off M4-A4 NYLSTOP Nuts (available from IXSEA After-Sales service)
•
2 off YUASA batteries (12 Volt DC, 3.2 Amp x Hour), p/n: NP 3.2-12FR from
YUASA Battery (available from IXSEA After-Sales service)
Before running the procedure:
•
Switch off the unit.
•
Unplug both cables (acoustic transducer and AC Mains).
Step Action
1.
Loosen the ten screws that fit the front panel on its case and remove the front panel from
the case:
2.
Protect the TT801 front panel with a soft cloth and turn it upside down on a table.
3.
Using the 7 mm tube spanner, loosen the 6 off NYLSTOP nuts (3 on each side), which
hold the metal chassis onto the TT801 front panel.
