The upper end cap is fitted with a protection cage. A yoke is fitted at the end of this
protection cage. The transducer is fitted directly on the device's upper end cap. The
ceramic piezoelectric sensor is covered by a neoprene boot. The integral transducer
(Transmitter and Receiver), oil-filled under equal pressure, features:
•
A metallic reflector
•
A CE-000192 ceramic ring
•
A neoprene boot
The integral transducer end cap is swapped for an upper end cap fitted with a 4-way
SUBCONN bulkhead connector for the RT8x1/HD transponders. The associated split
head is referenced PET661S or PET661S-ISOL (with galvanic isolated configuration).

Transducer
The RT8x1 transponders are fitted with a standard low frequency (8 to 20 kHz)
piezoelectric transducer with hemispherical directivity pattern. The main characteristics
are as follows:
•
Reception
: 8.5 to 16 kHz
•
Transmission
: 7.5 to 18 kHz
•
Directivity diagram
: Hemispheric at ± 3 dB
•
Response at reception (Sh)
: -185 ± 5 dB ref. 1V/µPa
•
Response at transmission (Sv)
: 131.5 ± 5 dB ref. 1µPa/V at 1 m
•
Static Capacity
: 14 ± 1.5 nF
