Power supply is made of 3 banks of 6 ‘D’ size cells (main power supply) and one backup
cell 9 V, 6LR61 located in a plastic box beside the lower end plate assembly.
Either Alkaline of Lithium cells can be used in the main battery package with no additional
wiring or reconfiguration of the instrument, but not mixed. Default battery setting is with
Alkaline.
Battery life depends on the operation of the instrument and is described in user manual.
The backup battery is only used as a safety feature.
It allows the listening circuits of the instrument to work for a few months after the main
battery bank is flat, and several release operation to be carried out.

Prepare 18 off fresh cells and individually check them before installing them into the
instrument.

Remove the 4 securing screws from the printed circuit board to gain access to the 3
battery banks.
