Preparing the Deployment
Before programming the transponders to be used in an operation, check the equipment
configuration, and define the work frequencies plan. A transponder is identified by its
address. A reference sheet stipulates the implemented electronic hardware configuration
for each transponder complete with the equipment's reference. It is advisable to test the
transponder's main functions (interrogation, release, etc.) prior to using it in any
operational situation. Refer to preventive maintenance section PM05.

Deploying the RT8x1
Make sure the transducer will be in a clear spot during immersion. The device's normal
position must be vertical, transducer oriented to the top. Pay special attention to the fact
that parts not made from URANUS must not come into contact with the device as this
could lead to a major corrosion risk.
