NFORMATION
The purpose of this manual is to detail the use and preventive maintenance of RT8x1
acoustic recoverable transponders compatible with the deep sea positioning system
named POSIDONIA. This manual must be carefully read prior to using an RT8x1
positioning transponder. The manufacturer shall in no case be held liable for any
application or use that does not comply with the stipulations in this manual.

Technical Characteristics
Stainless steel RT8x1 transponders use the principles and, as far as possible, the
mechanical standards of the stainless steel RT6x1 series. All mechanical configurations
stipulated below are available in remote transducers versions.
