position and tighten four bolts (G).
Installing shield:
(GGT-25)
Shield Fits snug on shaft.
Some force may be
required.

onto shaft bracket (H). Insert
washers (I) onto bolt. Insert
bolt (L) and nut (M).tighten
securely.
(GBC-43)
Install the metal shield (16) on the gear box
housing(O). using three screws (G) and install the
plastic shield (20) on the metal shield (16). using
three screws (G)
Nylon line cutter
Fit the lining (N) to the gear box housing (O). Align
hole in adapter plate with the Hole in shaft and
install the locking tool. Thread the cutter head (P)
onto shaft (turning it counter clockwise) until it is
tight. Remove the locking tool.
Metal blade cutter
Fit the metal shield (16) to the gear box housing(O).
Using three screws (G) and secure to the box
housing(O). Fit the lining (N) to the gear box
housing(O) . Secure the metal blade (15) between
upper ( R) and lower plate (S) with nut. Make sure
that cotter pin is installed.

WARNING: metal shield only to be used
with steel cutting blade
WARNING: Excessive vibration of blade
means that it is not properly installed-
stop engine immediately and check
blade. Blade not properly installed will cause
injury.
Rules for safe operation
WARNING: All trimmers and brush
cutters can throw small stone, metal or
small objects as well as the material
being cut.
Read the IVT operator’s manual carefully. Be
•
thoroughly familiar with the controls and proper
use of the unit. Know how to stop the unit and shut
off the engine. Know how to unhook a harnessed
unit quickly, if present.
Never allow anyone to use the unit without
•
proper instruction. Be sure the operator wears the
foot, leg, eye, face and hearing. Never allow children
to operate or play with the unit.
Do not allow anyone to enter the operating
•
DANGER ZONE with you. The danger zone is an area
of 15 meters in radius
Insist that people in the RISK ZONE beyond
•
the danger zone wear eye protection from thrown
objects. If the unit must be used where there are
unprotected people, operate at a low throttle speed
to reduce the risk of thrown objects.
Move the stop switch to “o” position when the
•
engine idles, insure it reliable before cutting. operate
the unit only if the stop switch is in good condition.
Routines for checking that the cutting
•
attachment stops turning when the engine idles.
WARNING: NO PERSON EXCEPT THE
OPERATOR ALLOWED 15 METERS
RADIUS DANGER ZONE. EYE, EAR, FACE,
FOOT, LEG AND BODY PROTECTION MUST BE
WORN BY OPERATOR. PEOPLE IN THE DANGERZONE
OR RISK BEYOND DANGER ZONE SHOULD WEAR
EYE PROTECTION AGAINST THROWN OBJECTS.

Cutting with a nylon head
