CDC4 Door Controller Installation and Programming Manual
Notes
• To clear an anti-passback violation, the card must be used at another
appropriate reader to change the region number that the user is recorded
against. Alternatively, the user can be assigned to the desired region using
the configuration software (in standard mode) or management software (in
extended mode).
• The door must be opened after the reader is used before anti-passback will
take effect.
• Anti-passback settings do not apply to users with the “Privileged” flag in
regions 0 to 199.
Anti-passback
Select the type of anti-passback desired:
• No anti-passback: The anti-passback functionality is not active. The card will
open the door without generating an alarm.
• Soft anti-passback: A valid card or PIN opens the door when used to enter
the region the second time without leaving first, but a report is generated.
• Hard anti-passback: The card will not open the door when used a second
time and the attempt will generate an alarm.
• Timed anti-passback: The card will not open the door when used a second
time in succession at the same door within the programmed time and the
attempt will generate a report.
Timed anti-passback period
Enter the time delay that forces the user to wait until the delay timer expires.
Enter a number of seconds.
In region
Specifies a region which represents the IN readers for each door.
When a valid card or PIN is entered at the door reader, the region that the user is
entering into is recorded against the user code. The system is then able to report
an anti-passback violation.
Type the region number directly into the field.
Note:
The door must be opened for this to be effective.
Out region
Specifies a region which represents the OUT readers for each door.
When a valid card or PIN is entered at the door reader, the region that the user is
entering into is recorded against the user code. The system is then able to report
an anti-passback violation.
