Solution
CD-ROM drive power cable or SCSI cable is
not attached.
Ensure the cables are properly attached.
SCSI termination is not disabled.
Remove CD-ROM drive and disable SCSI
termination on the CD-ROM drive.
A SCSI address conflict exists between the
CD-ROM drive and another SCSI device.
Reset SCSI ID on CD-ROM drive or the
other device.
Unsuccessful connection to serial device

Solution
Communication parameters between system
and serial device do not match.
Change the parameters so the system and
serial device match each other.
