Advanced Audio Output Settings

The SigmaTel Audio control panel allows you to
configure the Dolby functions. Although you
can fully enjoy Dolby Digital with the default
settings, you can fine tune them as you like.
Note:
The Dolby functions only work with the DIGI-
TAL AUDIO OUT jacks and the ANALOG
7.1CH AUDIO OUT jacks. They do not work
with the 2CH AUDIO OUT (VLSC) jacks.

Configuration
When you connect to the ANALOG 7.1CH
AUDIO OUT jacks or you want to enjoy Dolby
Headphone, select the appropriate configuration
from the
Speaker Configuration
pop-up menu.
The configuration you select determines which
of the Dolby functions are available.
7.1 Speakers
: Select this if your AV receiver is
connected with a 7.1-channel connec-
tion. If the
Pro Logic IIx
check box is
selected, you can enjoy 7.1-channel
playback from any source.
5.1 Speakers
: Select this if your AV receiver is
connected with a 5.1-channel connec-
tion. If the
Pro Logic IIx
check box is
selected, you can enjoy 5.1-channel
playback from any source.
Stereo Speakers
: Select this if your AV receiver
or TV is connected to the ANALOG
7.1CH AUDIO OUT FRONT L/R jacks
for a stereo connection. If the
Enable
Speaker Virtualization Support
option is selected, you can enjoy Dolby
Virtual Speaker. (This setting has no
effect on the ANALOG 2CH AUDIO
OUT.)
Headphones
: Select this to enjoy Dolby Head-
phone. If the
Enable Headphone Vir-
tualization Support
check box is
selected, you can enjoy Dolby Head-
phone. (Dolby Headphone has no effect
on the ANALOG 2CH AUDIO OUT.)

Pro Logic IIx
Pro Logic IIx expands 2-channel and 5.1-chan-
nel music and movies for 7.1-channel playback.
It provides a natural and seamless surround-
sound experience that fully envelops the listener.
Pro Logic IIx
To turn on the Pro Logic IIx function, select the
Pro Logic IIx
check box.
Mode
Select Movie mode when watching a movie
(DVD, VHS, TV, etc). Select Music mode when
listening to music (CD, radio, TV, etc).
Dolby Settings
Click the Dolby tab.
