Setup Example
What You’ll Need
• NVS-7.7
• Cable TV/TV antenna wall jack or cable/satel-
lite set-top box
• FM antenna
• TV, monitor, or display
• AV receiver and speakers
• Internet connection
Basic Setup
With this setup, you can do the following:
• Watch or record TV by using the NVS-7.7’s
built-in tuner.
• Listen to FM radio by using the NVS-7.7’s
built-in tuner.
• Enjoy the surround-sound modes of an AV
receiver.
• Download music, movies, etc., from the Inter-
net or enjoy the Net-Tune system.

TV/FM antenna connections
Use coaxial cables (not supplied). The built-
in tuners can received the following types of
signal:
• Analog CATV
• Analog terrestrial TV
• Digital terrestrial TV
• FM radio
If you have a satellite or cable set-top box,
you can connect it with an S-Video or com-
posite video connection and an analog audio
connection.

TV/monitor connection
You can connect your TV or monitor by
using one of the following connection for-
mats:
• DVI (recommended)
• VGA
• Component video
• S-Video or composite video

AV receiver connection
You can connect an AV receiver by using
one of the following connection formats:
• Optical or coaxial (5.1-channel) digital
audio (volume is controlled on the AV
receiver)
• 7.1/5.1-channel analog audio
• 2-channel analog audio (volume is con-
trolled on the AV receiver)

Internet connection
You can connect the NVS-7.7 to your
cable/DSL modem or home network router
by using the supplied LAN cable.
