Advanced Audio Output Settings
If you connect the NVS-7.7’s ANALOG 7.1CH AUDIO OUT to your
AV receiver, you can use the SigmaTel Audio control panel to con-
figure the speaker settings. These settings only apply to the multi-
channel ANALOG 7.1CH AUDIO OUT. You only need to change
these settings if your AV receiver doesn’t have its own speaker con-
figuration settings.

Click the Start button, click Control
Panel, and then click Sounds,
Speech, and Audio Devices.

Click SigmaTel Audio.
The SigmaTel Audio control panel opens.

Click the Speaker Test tab.

From the Speaker Configuration
pop-up menu, select the configura-
tion that matches your speakers:
7.1 Speakers
: Select this if your AV
receiver is connected with a 7.1-
channel connection.
5.1 Speakers
: Select this if your AV
receiver is connected with a 5.1-
channel connection.
Stereo Speakers
: Select this if your AV
receiver or TV is connected to the
ANALOG 7.1CH AUDIO OUT
FRONT L/R jacks for a stereo
connection.
Headphones
: Select this to use Dolby
Headphone.

Right-click the subwoofer picture
and make the following settings:
Enable/Disable
: Select Enable if a sub-
woofer is connected. Select Dis-
able if no subwoofer is connected.
Delay
: This is used to specify the sub-
woofer distance relative to the
front speakers. If the subwoofer is
closer to the listening position
than the front speakers, select a +
value. If it’s further away than the
front speakers, select a negative
value.
Crossover Frequency
: Specify the sub-
woofer’s crossover frequency.

Right-click each speaker in turn and
make the following settings:
Speaker Size
:Based on the diameter of
the speaker, select Large for
speakers larger than 6-1/2" (16
cm), and select Small for smaller
speakers.
Delay
: This is used to specify the speaker
distance relative to the front
speakers. If the speaker is closer to
the listening position than the
front speakers, select a + value. If
it’s further away than the front
speakers, select a negative value.

Click the Start Setup button.
A test tone is output by each speaker in
turn. Make sure that all speakers output the
test tone. If any speakers don’t output the
test tone, check the speaker connections.
