Operating Principle
This section describes the basic procedures to operate and configure a
INSYS GSM
small 2.0.
There are several methods to operate and configure the INSYS GSM small 2.0. In
general, the INSYS GSM small 2.0 is configured and operated via AT commands.
You can enter these commands yourself with the help of a terminal program and
the AT command reference. As an alternative, you can enter the most important
functions easily with the help of the configuration software HSComm.

In general, any terminal program may be used. We recommend the program
Teraterm from T.Teranishi. It is available free of cost on the Internet at
http://ttssh2.sourceforge.jp/.

How to configure and operate the INSYS GSM small 2.0 with a terminal
program.
The INSYS GSM small 2.0 is connected to the PC and switched on.
A terminal program is installed on the PC.

Start your terminal program.

Select the serial port, to which your INSYS GSM small 2.0 is con-
nected.
COM1 under Windows corresponds to /dev/ttyS0 under Linux.

Type the character string
AT
into the terminal program. Complete the
entry by pressing the Enter key.
Each command input starts with

and is completed with the Enter
