Hydraulic brakes must under no circumstances be operated after removing the road wheel!
If your bike has a disk brake use the mandatory transportation wedges supplied for that purpose for
transportation following removal of the road wheel.
Rim brakes only: When fitting and removing the brake blocks can get twisted.
When fitting the road wheels please note that the brake blocks are correctly positioned
– see chapter
“Brakes check”. If these are not correctly positions please contact a specialist workshop.
Under no circumstances do NOT use bike shoes in other than the correct position.
If the wheels on your bike use the quick release system read the following instructions on wheels
removal and wheels fitting.
WHEELS REMOVAL
Remove the front wheel first:
a. If you have rim brakes you have to open the brake. Press the brake shoes together with one
hand and remove the cable guide from the J yoke.

If you have disk brakes you only need to insert the transportation wedges between the brake
calipers.
b. Open the quick release on your wheel

loosen the nut until
you get enough space that you can remove the wheel.
c. Lift the bike handlebar and remove the wheel from fork.
Remove the rear wheel:
a. Brake related operations

check above.
b. Switch to the smallest pinion of the rear wheel
’s sprocket cassette.
c. Open the quick release

see chapter “Quick release use”.
d. Lift the bike up slightly at the back and press the gear mechanism backwards. In this position
push the rear wheel gently in the direction of the dropout openings.
