2) Die Fader (12) der nicht benutzten Kanäle auf

Minimum stellen und die beiden ausgewählten
Kanäle mit ihren Fadern optimal aussteuern.

3) Mit dem Crossfader kann jetzt zwischen den bei-

den gewählten Kanälen übergeblendet werden.
Sollen die Signale beider Kanäle gleichzeitig zu
hören sein, den Crossfader in die Mittelposition
stellen.

4) Sollen dem Musikprogramm die Signale der

Mikrofonkanäle und/oder der anderen Stereo-
Eingangskanäle dazugemischt werden, die zu-
gehörigen Kanalfader (12, 21) entsprechend auf-
ziehen.

5) Mit den Masterfadern A und B (17) für die Mas-

terkanäle A und B den jeweils gewünschten Ge-
samtpegel einstellen. Dazu die Aussteuerungs-
anzeige (6) mit dem Drehschalter MONITOR (18)
auf den jeweiligen Masterkanal umschalten.

In der Regel wird eine optimale Aussteuerung

erreicht, wenn die Aussteuerungsanzeige bei
durchschnittlich lauten Passagen Werte im 0-dB-
Bereich anzeigt. Ist der Ausgangspegel jedoch
für das nachfolgende Gerät zu hoch oder zu
niedrig, den Masterkanal entsprechend niedriger
oder höher aussteuern.

5.4 Durchsagen über das DJ-Mikrofon

In das an der Buchse DJ MIC (4) angeschlossene
Mikrofon sprechen und die gewünschte Lautstärke
mit dem Regler LEVEL (16) sowie den Klang mit den
Reglern (5) HIGH (Höhen), MID (Mitten) und LOW
(Bässe) einstellen. Soll zur besseren Verständlich-
keit einer Durchsage die Lautstärke aller anderen
Signale während des Sprechens automatisch um
14 dB reduziert werden, die Taste TALK OVER (15)
vorher drücken.

5.5 Abhören der Kanäle über einen Kopf-

hörer

Jeder der Stereo-Eingangskanäle CH 1 – 4 lässt
sich über einen an der Buchse (19) angeschlosse-
nen Kopfhörer abhören, auch wenn der dazuge-
hörige Kanalfader (12) auf Minimum steht. Dadurch
kann z. B. auf einer CD der gewünschte Titel ausge-
wählt oder der richtige Zeitpunkt zum Einblenden
einer Signalquelle abgepasst werden.

Wahlweise ist es auch möglich, das laufende

Musikprogramm des Masterkanals A oder B abzu-
hören.

1) Den abzuhörenden Kanal mit dem Drehschalter

MONITOR (18) wählen. Damit wird gleichzeitig
auch die Aussteuerungsanzeige (6) auf diesen
Kanal geschaltet.

2) Mit dem Pegelregler LEVEL (20) die gewünschte

Kopfhörerlautstärke einstellen.

Note: If the same channel is selected with the
switches and the crossfader is moved from left to
right or vice versa, the channel selected will be
shortly faded in and out. This adjustment can be
used e. g. for short fade-ins.

2) Set the faders (12) of the channels not used to

minimum and control the two channels selected
to an optimum level with their faders.

3) Now crossfading between the two channels se-

lected is possible. For hearing the signals of the
two channels at the same time, set the cross-
fader to mid-position.

4) For mixing the signals of the microphone chan-

nels and/or the other stereo input channels to the
music programme, advance the corresponding
channel faders (12, 21) accordingly.

5) With the master faders A and B (17), adjust the

desired overall level for the master channels A
and B respectively. For this purpose, switch the
VU-meter (6) to the corresponding master chan-
nel with the rotary switch MONITOR (18).

Usually, an optimum level is obtained when

the VU-meter indicates values in the 0 dB range
at average volume. However, if the output level is
too high or too low for the following unit, control
the master channel to a correspondingly lower or
higher level.

5.4 Announcements via the DJ microphone

Speak into the microphone connected to the jack DJ
MIC (4) and adjust the desired volume with the con-
trol LEVEL (16) and the sound with the controls (5)
HIGH, MID, and LOW. To automatically reduce the
volume of all other signals by 14 dB while speaking
in order to improve the intelligibility of an announce-
ment, press the button TALK OVER (15) before-
hand.

5.5 Monitoring the channels via headphones

Each of the stereo input channels CH 1 – 4 can be
monitored via headphones connected to the jack
(19), even if the corresponding channel fader (12) is
set to minimum. This allows e. g. to select the de-
sired title on a CD or to time the right moment for
fading in a signal source.

Alternatively, it is also possible to monitor the cur-

rent music programme of the master channel A or B.

1) Select the channel to be monitored with the

rotary switch MONITOR (18). Thus, the VU-
meter (6) is also switched to this channel at the
same time.

2) Adjust the desired headphone volume with the

control LEVEL (20).
