APPENDIX 3: BLUETOOTH OPTION
An optional Bluetooth communication module is available for the I-SAFE. It is easy to install it in the
service box. Please note:
o
On older devices, this module is already installed by default.
o
It is not possible to use simultaneously a modem module and a Bluetooth module.
Before installing the optional Bluetooth module, please ensure the battery is switched off

Fixing the module
Place the Bluetooth module on the 4 struts (2) and push gently to fix it. Please ensure the rake
connector (1) is properly inserted in the corresponding slot (3).

Changing the serial number
The Bluetooth module is identified with its own serial number. In order to set the same serial number
for the I-SAFE and for the module, when the I-
SAFE is in “measure” mode, place the parameter encoder
(4)
on “
b
”; the I
-SAFE comes then back to configuration mode and writes its own serial number in the
Bluetooth module. The I-SA
FE goes to “measure” mode again after +/
- 10 sec.
Once done, enter the setting of your choice on the encoder.
