APPENDIX 1: PARAMETERS ENCODER

ENERAL
When the I-SAFE is powered on, de encoder display shows
o
. It means it is in « configuration » mode
and ready to communicate through Bluetooth, if the option is available.
After 15 seconds, the I-SAFE goes to « measure mode », with the parameters of the TAILOR MADE
ZONE 1. The encoder displays then
–
and flashes every 5 seconds.
To choose one of the standard speed limits or another function, press the the settings encoder button
for 3 seconds. The settings encoder display stops blinking. You can then release the button.
The encoder display blinks again quickly. Then press the button to scroll through the menus (they
scroll in a loop). When the desired menu appears on the encoder, wait 3 seconds, the I-SAFE goes then
to the chosen function or menu.
For the menu

), the encoder display shows

. It means you can insert the USB stick into the USB port. The
I-SAFE reads then the data from the USB stick of or writes the measurement data. The dot next to the

flashes.
Don’t remove
the stick while the dot next to
the “u” flashes.
When the display shows

again, the stick can be unplugged
Press the button again for 3 seconds and release when the display stops flashing and choose the right
function.
If you don’t choose a function or menu, the I
-SAFE goes to « measure mode » after four
minutes with last chosen settings (by default, tailor made zone 1).

The I-SAFE writes the data file on the USB stick and the dot next to the "u" flashes.

Do not remove the USB stick while the dot flashes.

When the display shows "d" again, the USB stick can be unplugged.
o
Press the button again for 3 seconds and release when the display stops flashing.
o
Scroll through the menus again until the encoder displays the code of the desired display
type (-, =,

1, 2, 3 or 4) .
