PREDEFINED SETTINGS
4.1
I
N GENERAL
The I-SAFE settings take in account different parameters. The user can define up to 4 speed thresholds,
each of these thresholds can be associated with a colour and with 1, 2 or 3 different successive texts
or pictograms.
Example: between 10 and 49 km/h, each speed
measurement appears in green, with a “Thank you”
message, followed by a smiley; between 50 and 75 km/h,
the speed appears in red, with the text “too
fast!”;
above 75 km/h, the speed is no more displayed, but a message with the potential fine appears.
Parameters like an adjustment of the display time or the display flickering can be set with the Icoms
software. See further, p. 24, for advanced functions.
4.2
F
ACTORY SETTING
The I-SAFE is delivered with different default parameter bundles, adapted to the most common speed
limitations. An encoder, placed in the service box at the back of the unit (Figure 5, p. 11, mark 12)
allows selecting the speed limit adapted to the location.
When powered, the I-SAFE gives the value of the battery load and then « oo ». After 10 sec, it displays
« GO » and starts to measure the vehicles going towards it and displays their speed. The associated
messages depend on the selected position of the encoder (Figure 5, p. 11, mark 12) . If the RS232 or
Bluetooth communication has been established, the delay before measuring mode moves to 4
minutes. This delay is extended by the same time at every communication operation.
Choose the encoder position which is in accordance with the maximum allowed speed on the
installation place (see p.17):
