Step 2
(from Step 1)
1. Set the power button on the CPU Enclosure to Off.
2. Unplug both PDB outlet power cords from both power supply power cords.
3. Record the slot numbers of the adapters. Label and record the location of any cables
attached to the adapters. Remove all the MCA adapters.
4. Record the slot numbers of the memory cards (MC), and then remove all the memory
cards (MC), except the one in slot
A
.
5. Record the slot numbers of the CPU cards (CPU) and then remove all the CPU cards
(CPU), except the one in slot
P
.
6. Plug both PDB outlet power cords into both power supply power cords.
7. Set the power button on the CPU Enclosure to On.
8. Wait for one of the following conditions to occur:
•
The Maintenance Menu is displayed.
•
The same three digit number is displayed in the operator panel display for longer than
three minutes except for the number
165
which may display for up to ten minutes with
no activity on the BUMP console.
•
The number
888
is flashing in the operator panel display.
Is the maintenance menu displayed?
NO
Go to Step 3.
YES
If a CPU or memory card was removed, go to Step 4. Otherwise set the
power button on the CPU Enclosure to Off and unplug both PDB outlet
power cords from both power supply power cords. Do the following actions.
•
Install the SCSI adapter.
•
Connect the SCSI cable from the SCSI adapter to the SCSI connector
located above the disk drive.
•
Install the terminator on the connector DIFF. SCSI A on the system
interface board (SIB).
•
Go to Step 7, substep 5.
