36) CHANGE THE AXLE OIL
(1) Place a case under drain plug to catch oil.
(2) Remove the air breather to relieve internal pres-
sure.
(3) The basic condition for a correct oil change of
the axle is horizontal plane of installation in ev-
ery direction.
Place machine in a horizontal position
(4) All plugs must be cleaned carefully before
opening.
(5) Loosen drain plugs and drain oil.
(6) Provide drain plugs with new O-ring and install
them.
(7) Fill up oil to the overflow on fill & level plug.
• Oil amount
Front axle
: 23 ℓ (6.1 U.S. gal)
Rear axle
: 23 ℓ (6.1 U.S. gal)
As the machine is hot after operation, wait
until the temperature has dropped.
If a work requires frequent use of brake, re-
place it earlier than normal change interval.
37) CLEANING AXLE BREATHER
(1) Remove dust or debris around the breather.
(2) Remove the breather and wash it with cleaning
oil.
38) LUBRICATION
(1) Supply grease through the grease nipple, using a grease gun.
(2) After lubricating, clean off the spilled grease.
Press the parking brake switch and fix the front and rear frames using the safety lock
bar.
