Make sure the area around the lift truck is clear before
moving the lift truck. Be careful when making the checks.
Control Levers and Pedals
Check that the levers for the mast and attachment operate
as described in
Model Description
section of this manual.
The brake pedals are checked as described in the
the operation of the brakes.
Direction and Speed Control Pedals
Check that the direction and speed control pedals operate
as described in the
Model Description
section of this man-
ual. Lubricate the MONOTROL® pedal or accelerator pedal
joints as needed. See the

Electrical Components
1.
Check the operation of the horn by pressing the horn
button on the steering wheel. The horn will operate when
the key or keyless switch is in any position. If lift truck is
equipped with E-Hydraulic controls, there is another horn
button located on the armrest. See

There is also a handle with a horn button on the right over-
head guard leg. See the

If lift truck is equipped with lights, check the operation of
the lights using the appropriate rocker switch, located on
the right side of the steering column. See

. The lights will operate when the key or
keyless switch is in any position.
