Replace a dryer box component or remove a blockage
Use this procedure to replace a heating element or a thermocouple, or to remove a blockage.
Required parts, tools, and materials
Recommended materials
Bucket or other container
Keep spare parts available so that they are ready when required. To order parts, refer to the

Disconnect the heating elements from their power sources.
2.
Remove the element plate.
Abrasive pours out through the opening. Put a bucket or other container below the dryer box to catch the
spilled abrasive.
3.
Remove loose abrasive near the opening.

Work that requires opening the electrical enclosure or removing covers or panels from the machine
unit must be done only by an approved technician.

and local electrical and plumbing codes. This work must be done only by an approved technician.

Do not touch hot surfaces.

The heating elements can take up to 24 hours to cool.
