2.1.2 Checking the Environment
Checking the Equipment Room
Check the area, height, and bearing of the equipment room, and the layout of the drainage
system. If any item does not meet the requirements, recommend that the customer reconstruct
the equipment room, or make the necessary amends.
Checking the Ambient Conditions
Check whether the illumination in the equipment room meets the requirements for device
maintenance.
Check whether the ventilation system can maintain the required temperature and
humidity in the equipment room.
Check whether proper the antistatic measures have been taken.
Check whether sufficient firefighting equipment is available.
Check whether the anti-earthquake design of the equipment room meets the
requirements.
Check whether the lightning protection measures are taken to keep the equipment room
safe.
Checking the Power Supply
Check whether the AC power supply system is complete and the power output meets the
requirements.
Check whether the DC power adapter meets the requirements, providing stable voltage
within the specified range.
Check whether the AC power supply has a dedicated protection ground.
Check whether the power supply system provides the self-protection function, which can
prevent accidents if lightning arresters fail to function.
Checking the Auxiliary Equipment
Check whether the transmission cables and the IP broadband network are laid properly.
Check whether the optical fibers are laid properly if the optical interfaces are used.
