Procedure
l
Change the initial password for logging in to the GE switching plane over a serial port.
Step 1
On the CLI of the converged switching plane, run the following command to go to the system
view:
<HUAWEI>
system-view
The command output is as follows:
Enter system view, return user view with return command.
Step 2
Go to the user serial port view.
[~HUAWEI]
user-interface console 0
Step 3
Open the user interface (UI) for changing the password.
[~HUAWEI-ui-console0]
set authentication password
The command output is as follows:
Please configure the login password (8-16)
Enter Password:
Step 4
Enter a new password.
The password is case-sensitive and must meet the following requirements:
l
Contain at least two types of the following characters:
–
Uppercase letters A to Z
–
Lowercase letters a to z
–
Digits 0 to 9
–
At least one of the following special character: .`~!@#$%^&*()-_=+\|[{}];:'",<.>/
l
Cannot be the same as the user name or the user name in reverse order.
The following information is displayed:
Confirm Password:
NOTE
The entered password is not displayed on the terminal screen.
Step 5
Enter the new password again. The following information is displayed:
Info: The password of ui-console0 will be changed, please verify the old password.
Please enter old password:
Step 6
Enter the old password. The following information is displayed:
Info: Change the password successfully.
Step 7
Submit the configuration.
