3.4.2 Configuring Static Neighbors

By configuring a static neighbor, you can obtain the mapping of the IPv6 address and MAC
address of the neighbor.

Procedure

Step 1

Run:

The system view is displayed.

Step 2

Run:

Step 3

Run one of the following commands as required:

To configure a static neighbor entry on a common Layer 3 interface, run the 

ipv6

To configure a static neighbor entry on a VLANIF interface, run the

NOTE

If an interface is configured with dynamic QinQ, you cannot configure a static neighbor entry on it.

Static neighbors can be configured for interfaces and their sub-interfaces. You can configure up
to 300 neighbors on each interface.

3.4.3 Enabling RA Message Advertising

After being enabled with router advertisement, the device can send router advertisement
messages, providing prefixes for hosts.
