Performing an Emergency Shutdown
Two methods are available for performing an emergency shutdown on a server blade:
Using the Integrated Administrator

Using the Integrated Administrator
You can perform an emergency shutdown of a ProLiant BL e-Class server blade by using the
“Power Off” option in the Integrated Administrator. To power down a server blade using the
Integrated Administrator, refer to the

for detailed instructions.
Pressing and Holding the Server Blade Power Button
You can also perform an emergency shutdown of a ProLiant BL e-Class server blade by
pressing and holding the power button on the front of the server blade for 4 seconds.
CAUTION:
Performing an emergency shutdown on a server blade may result in the loss of
any unsaved data.
Repeat this step to power up a server blade.
