Perform the following steps to change the server settings on HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5400 series with
Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 handheld devices:
1.
Contact the ISP or network administrator to:
•
Determine the correct name resolution
•
Obtain the specific server IP address
•
Determine if alternate addresses are available
2.
Turn on the WLAN.
3.
On the
Today
screen, tap
Start > iPAQ Wireless > iPAQ WLAN
.
4.
Select the desired profile from the
Profile
drop-down list.
5.
Tap the
Edit
button.
6.
Tap
Next
.
7.
Select
Use specific IP address
8.
Enter the appropriate information.
9.
Tap
Next
.
10.
Tap
Finish
.
11.
Tap
OK
to close the window.

Turning on and off the WLAN
Perform the following steps to turn on or off the WLAN:
1.
On the
Today
screen, tap
Start > iPAQ Wireless
.
2.
On the
iPAQ Wireless
screen, tap the
Wireless Control
icon.
3.
When the
Wireless Control
screen appears, tap the
WLAN
icon. The
WLAN
icon displays in
orange (off); tap the
WLAN
icon to turn on the WLAN. The icon changes to green (on) and the
WLAN indicator light flashes orange.
Note:
Even though the WLAN indicator flashes green (on) it does not necessarily mean a connection has been established.
Battery saving tip:
Turn of the WLAN when you are not using it.
