1. F or rac k ed systems, remov e the rac k moun ting screws from the fron t of the HP 85102.
Slide the instrumen t forward slightly to give y ou access to the A2, A3, and A4 b oards
(refer to Figure 5-2).
Note
F or b enc h top congurations, the HP 85102 is placed on top to the HP 85101
for easy access to the pulsed-RF b oards.
2. T urn all the instrumen ts o and mov e the top co v er of the HP 85102 bac k to allo w access
to the A2, A3, and A4 b oards only . The co v er is only partially mov ed bac k to maintain
the op erating temp erature of the HP 85102 as close to the op erating temp erature when its
co v er is fully on.
3. T urn on all the instrumen ts in the adjustmen t setup and allo w the equipmen t to w arm up
for at least one hour.
4. On the HP 8510, press 4

5. Set the source for a p o w er lev el b et w een 010 and 015 dBm, and a CW frequency of 20.1
MHz.
Use the test cable to connect the RF source output to A2J3 (disconnect the cable that is
curren tly to A2J3.)
