Switching Betw een Frequency Domain and Pulse Profile Domain
The domain in whic h the measuremen t calibration w as p erformed is not part of the cal set
limited instrumen t state. This means that, for example, a cal set created in the frequency
domain could b e turned on for a pulse prole domain measuremen t with no message to the
op erator. Except for the pulse prole calibration pro cedure in the frequency domain using
F requency List, a cal set should only b e used in the domain in whic h it w as created.

This sequence makes certain that the cal set applies to the domain in whic h it w as created.
Another metho d is to sa v e a n um b er of instrumen t states, eac h with the appropriate domain
and cal set, then simply recall the desired instrumen t state.
If a cal set created in the pulse prole domain is turned On while in the frequency domain, it
is treated as if the calibration w ere p erformed using step sw eep with the minimum frequency
span. The pulse prole domain error co ecien ts are applied to dieren t frequency p oints,
resulting in trace errors.
Also, if a cal set created in the frequency domain is turned On while in the pulse prole
domain, the frequency is set to the start frequency of the frequency domain cal set and the
frequency domain error co ecien ts are applied to eac h corresp onding p oint in the pulse prole
domain. This also results in trace errors.
