c. Insert the Language Extensions disk in the driv e and, one at a time, load the following

Language Extension les: ERR, CLOCK, GRAPH, MA T, IO
Then press 4 CONTINUE 5 on the computer k eyb oard. When the le is loaded the driv e
LED will go OFF. After loading all the Extensions, remov e the disk. Insert the Drivers
disk and load the following les in the same manner as y ou loaded the Extension les.
Driver les: HPIB, (DISC and CS80 for stand alone driv es)
After loading all the driv ers, remov e the disk.
Run the Specifications and P erformance V erification Softw are
1. Insert the HP 8510 Sp ecication and P erformance V erication softw are disk in to the
default driv e or the driv e y ou sp ecify as the MSI (mass storage is). T yp e the load
command and the lename as sho wn b elow then press 4

2. The program will load sev eral more les. When it has nished loading the les, a men u
will app ear on the computer display to allo w y ou to set the time and date.
Press the computer Y k ey and the program will con tinue, or press the computer N k ey for
NO and set the date and time. When y our en tries are complete, press 4 RETURN/ENTER 5.
3. The program will display the HARD W ARE CONFIGURA TION men u. This men u allo ws
y ou to select the t yp e of system equipmen t y ou will b e using during the calibration and
p erformance v erication.
