Accuracy-Enhanced Measurement Requirements
Accuracy-enhanced (error corrected) measuremen ts require the ambien t temp erature of
the pulsed-RF net w ork analyzer system to b e maintained within 6 1 C of the ambien t
temp erature at measuremen t calibration. The measuremen t calibration temp erature m ust b e
within the op erating temp erature range of the calibration kit (typically 20 to 26 C). Refer to
the appropriate calibration kit man ual for the actual op erating temp erature of the calibration
kit.

P o w er Requirements
Install the required A C p o w er at all necessary lo cations. Place air conditioning equipmen t or
other motor-op erated equipmen t on a dieren t A C line than that used for the system. Refer
to T able 2-4 for a list of the maximum V A p o w er ratings of the HP instrumen ts used in the
HP 85108 system.
Three-wire p o w er cables m ust b e used with all instrumen ts. These cables pro vide the required
ground when connected to an appropriate outlet.
System Heating and Cooling
Install air conditioning and heating if required. Air conditioning requiremen ts dep end on the
amoun t of heat pro duced b y the instrumen ts. Use the BTU/hour ratings from T able 2-4 to
determine the total rating of y our system. Eac h V A rating is m ultiplied b y 3.4 to determine
the BTU/hour rating of eac h instrumen t.
