Adjusting a Clearance between Buckle and Fold Roller
- Normally, the screw are retracted.
Use this setting for normal sheets.
- Use the third and fourth buckle plate to fold very
thick sheets more than twice.
If you are folding a thick sheet, and the gap
between the buckle plate and the fold roller
is narrow, the first sheet can not be inserted
into buckle plate and a sheet jam may
occur. In this case, increase the gap by
adjusting the installation guide screws. The
following illustration shows the first buckle
plate as an example. Make the same adjust-
ment for the second, third, and fourth
buckle plates.
Remove the first buckle plate from the
machine.
- The first buckle plate can be removed by
loosening the locking knobs on the front and
rear covers.

Installation Guide
Adjust the screws on the installation
guides.
- Set the amount of projection on each screw
using a point driver.
- The screws on each side should project by the
same amount, so the buckle plate is square to
the machine.
If the screws project too far, the sheets may not be fed
to the first buckle plate because the gap is too wide.
Install the first buckle plate.
