The laser coupling
is very poor or the
fiber is damaged.

The DeltaDiode

laser spot is very
weak on sample
The sample is very
absorbent at the la-
ser wavelength.
Examine the beam with a piece of pa-
per.
The selected filter
cube absorbs at the
laser wavelength.
Choose a position in the illuminator
where there is no filter cube. Usually
this would be position 1.
The laser coupling
is very poor or the
fiber has been dam-
aged.
Adjust the fiber-optic coupler or re-
place the fiber.

Switch the DeltaHub ON. Switch
the Tango controller ON. Connect

Make sure that the USB cables
between the DeltaHub and the
host computer and between the
Tango controller and the host
computer are connected.
DeltaHub port number
is not set properly
Open the
DSconfigurator
utility and set a different COM
port number.
The camera cannot be
found in the list of avail-
able cameras
The camera is not
connected
Connect the camera USB cable to
the host computer. Update the
camera driver if prompted.
The camera power
supply is not connect-
ed
Connect the 5 V camera power
supply
The light intensity on
the sample is too low
Increase the light intensity. See
the hardware troubleshooting sec-
tion “the microscope lamp is ON
but the sample is not illuminated”
if the light intensity cannot be im-
proved.
