System Operation
This chapter describes how to use the front panel controls to operate the VCR.

shows the location of the controls and
Table 4-1
describes their function.
Note
This VCR is not intended to be used as a playback unit. If you want to view
recorded video, remove the tape from this VCR and view it in another
machine.
WARNING!
Upon ignition, this VCR may start recording over recorded
video. To prevent loss of recorded video, you may have to
write-disable your video.

VCR Front Panel Controls
Controls Function
Sensor
Receives infrared signals from the remote control unit.
POWER
Turns on the VCR. It automatically turns off after one minute of inactivity.
Use this button for temporary power to program the unit or to change VCR tapes
without turning the vehicle ignition on. The VCR remains powered on for one
minute after the last remote control button has been pressed.
INDICATOR
If lit, indicates a video cassette is in the VCR.
