Timelapse Recording Setup
P
2.
Use the following table to set recording for the timelapse partition.
Field Description
Audio Recording
Turns the audio recording on or off. Options are:
On
,
Off
End of Disk
Determines what the system does when the timelapse portion of the hard drive
storage space is full. Options are:
Stop
. The HRDVS stops recording.
Recycle
. The HRDVS starts at the beginning again, overriding the oldest clips.
Note
If you want to change this setting (for example, from Stop to Recycle), We
recommend that you only do so before recording starts. Changing this
setting after clips have recorded will require reformatting the drives and all
recorded clips will be lost.
Record Rate (fps)
Set the global record rate for all cameras, in fields per second, to be used for regular
timelapse recording.
The total number of fields is divided across all active cameras.
Example
: RR = 5 fps set for five active cameras. The individual camera rate is 1 fps.
Note
The lower the record rate, the longer you can record video before your
storage space is filled.
Compression Ratio
Set the global compression ratio for all cameras, in fields per second, to be used for
regular timelapse recording. Options are:
10:1
,
15:1
,
20:1
,
25:1
,
30:1
,
35:1
,
40:1
,
45:1
, or
50:1
.
Note
The lower the compression ratio, the slower the transmission of images and
the faster your storage space is filled.
Disk Full
When the End of Disk field is set to
Stop
, how you set this field determines what the
system does when the timelapse portion of the hard drive storage space is full.
Options are:
Beep
: If enabled, the HRDVS beeps when the disk is full.
Output
. If enabled, the HRDVS activates the alarm output when the disk is full.
Record Cameras
Enable those cameras that you want to have video recorded from in timelapse
mode.
Note
All cameras present are automatically selected when a Default or Auto Detect
operation is carried out.
Disk Space / Record
Time
This status box shows the total amount of drive space available and the amount of
video that could be recorded using your current settings. If you reduce the record
rate or increase the compression ratio, you are able to record video for a longer time
before your disk is full.
