Wiring for Zone Trigger Mode
You can use a security system's output (such as a bell output or voltage trigger), to trip the
Z1/Z2 zone on the communications module and thereby generate a report to the monitoring
station. The trigger can be a positive voltage, a ground, or a voltage change taken from a
security system zone that is supervised with an EOLR. Depending on which triggering
method is used, ensure the communications module Z1/Z2 zone is properly programmed.
•
For positive voltage tripping (V+) of zone Z1/Z2, the voltage must be within 2.0V-14V.
Trigger levels above this range may cause permanent damage to the unit. Trigger levels
below this range result in unreliable operation.
•
For ground voltage tripping (V–) of zone Z1/Z2, the voltage must be less than 1.0V.
