Mounting the Module

Mounting Procedure

1.

Locate the case back over selected mounting position such that the opening in the case
back is aligned with the wire/cable opening on the mounting surface.

2.

Pass the wires/cable through the opening in the case back, or route through the
removable knockouts located on the back cover.

3.

Secure the case back to the mounting surface using four screws (supplied).

4.

When all wiring is completed, attach the case front. Position the top first, then press the

bottom section until it snaps in place. Secure bottom using cover screw (supplied).

Wiring the Module

NOTE:

A minimum of 22 AWG wire (unshielded) is recommended for power and data wires.

For long power runs, 18 AWG may be specified.

Wiring for ECP, 4204 and Two-4204 Modes

Most Honeywell ADEMCO control panels support LRR-ECP data communication, (such as

the VISTA-10P, VISTA-15P, VISTA-20P, VISTA-128BP, VISTA-128FBP and LYNXR-I).
However, there are some panels that do not. Check the Installation and Setup Guide for the

control panel to see if it supports ECP communication.

Connect the communications module to the control panel's ECP terminals, in parallel with
keypads and other ECP peripheral devices. The wire length/gauge requirements are the

same for all ECP devices. To wire the module for ECP or 4204 modes, see

Figure 2-2
