CAUTION
Notice:
Make sure the waste tank the door is com-
pletely closed before checking the oil level in
the reservoir. If the reservoir is filled with
the door open, the reservoir will be overfilled
by oil returning from the hydraulic cylinders
when the door is closed.
Remember that the hydraulic unit consumes a
considerable amount of electrical power. When-
ever possible, we recommend that the engine
be operating with the PTO clutch disengaged to
provide additional electric power to the hydraulic
pump. The hydraulic system will operate faster
and the pump motor will run cooler when the
engine alternator is supplying current to the bat-
teries.
If you do need to operate the hydraulic system
without the engine running, do not raise and lower
the door more than two times without starting the
engine to recharge the battery. This will ensure
you maintain enough reserve battery power to
start the engine. After the door is opened twice,
the engine should be allowed to run for at least
15 minutes at 1500 RPM or higher to recharge
the battery before the hydraulic power unit is
operated again.
The operating manual for the hydraulic power unit
was included with this manual. Please refer to it
for additional information on the operation and
maintenance of the hydraulic power unit installed
on your VS2000.
THE BATTERY MUST BE PROPERLY cHARGED BEFORE
OPERATING THE HYDRAULIc PUMP wHEN THE ENGINE IS
NOT RUNNING. OPERATING THE HYDRAULIc PUMP FROM
A BATTERY wITH A LOw cHARGE MAY LEAD TO A PUMP
FAILURE.

Tractor Hydraulic System
The tractor hydraulic system is completely in-
dependent from the skid hydraulic system and
provides the hydraulic pressure for the operation
of the Hog Arm and Hog Head. A control panel
and joystick on the tractor controls all hydraulic
functions of the Hog Arm and the rotation of the
Optional Tractor Hydraulic System
spray bar.
Refer to the HT2500 Tractor section in this manual
and the tractor operating manual for more infor-
mation on the operation and maintenance of the
tractor hydraulic system.
HT500 Hog Pack Hydraulic System
Other Waterblasting equipment such as the
HT1000 Ground Hog will typically use the wa-
terblasting HT500 Hog Pack to supply hydraulic
pressure and electrical power for the operation of
Optional Hog Technologies HT500 Hog Pack
